The Tuesday Run Around

Today was lots of running around. First had to get all my papers for the Vegas condo signed, done. Then I bought a cheap new Brothers fax machine (cost $80), instead of faxing stuff at Staples for $1.50 a sheet, done. I hate wasting money on BS and getting stuff faxed at Staples is one of them. Then I went to the bank to wire the funds for the condo, and it should be ours within the next day or so. I’m happy about that, I should be going down to Nevada sometime early next month.

Then, I had to meet my POCO tenant at Tim Hortons because his rent check bounced, done. Went home did some more work, and then went to my mother in laws for dinner and left early because we needed to meet up with my accountant to signed corporation papers, ugh,

I then realized I had a bunch of pics on my camera that I should upload to my blog, and here I am. Time to watch one hour of TV, then off to bed, zzzzzzzzz.

Furniture Shopping At The Richmond Ikea

Me and wifey spent the day at Ikea in Richmond, why? Obviously I need to furnish the place in Las Vegas but they don’t have an Ikea in Las Vegas which sucks! They can ship the stuff from their Ikea warehouse in California to our place in Las Vegas, so we went and picked out all the furniture, beds, night tables, chairs, dinner table, sofas and a few other tid bits. We wrote it all down and we will go to the Ikea website and then call the order in to the Ikea call center, they can ship all the stuff direct to Las Vegas. This is the best idea we had to furnish the place for cheap. I don’t want to spend $20,000 to furnish it…

So now I’m kinda beat from walking around Ikea for the last 2 hours, ugh. At least we picked out all the household stuff, minus the tv, tv stand, vacuum cleaner and some other small stuff. Pretty dumb they don’t have Ikea in Las Vegas since their population is about 2,000,000 just like Vancovuer, whatever!

5 am Wake Up Call!

It’s 8:06 am, I woke up at 4:54 am or something close to that and came downstairs into my home office. I made my daily espresso and made a bunch of campaigns and then went for a 20 minute walk. I love waking up AT 5 AM, I feel like I have much more time to get sh*t done. I feel fulfilled because all of my “duties” are complete and then I can relax more easily. Being an overachiever I always feel the need to get a “certain amount done”, waking up earlier (5 am) really helps me to feel complete. I go to bed at 9- 1o pm and wake up fresher than ever.

I can then take my kids out earlier in the afternoon 4pm ish and not feel like I need to do “more”. If you really think about how much time you waste in a day on b*llsh*t it’s truly incredible. Watching mindless reality shows one after another is a marathon BS. I do watch my share of them but cutting down on BS time has helped me allot. I spend time with family then bed nice and early.

I’m not really sure why I’m so driven now, but it’s been part of me for a long time. When I worked for someone else I could give a shit about motivation, I’ve never been very good at taking direction or listening to other peoples rules. I was probably the sh*ttiest carpenter cabinet maker alive (kidding), because what was the motivation? A paycheck for $1100 every 2 weeks, lol. Most people feel “secure” having a job, that’s the biggest lie you can tell yourself. Now, I like thinking for myself and focusing on myself. If you don’t care about yourself, who will?

Being lazy is hard work, I’m too lazy to work at a secure job till 65 (like most people). I would rather retire early, and live my life.

I have no clue why this post turned out the way it did, but here it is.. Back to work, then watch The Taking of Pelham 123 tonight…

The “Shit My Dad Says”

I don’t even know how I heard about this but there is some guy who lives with his dad and he tweets all the “shit his dad days“. The guy has 345, 318 followers, I wonder how he can make money of of that? I copied and pasted a few of his more recent “Shit My Dad Says” tweets, pretty fuuny stuff. His dad sounds pretty damn crusty that’s what makes it so good, lol.

He tweets a ton of shit, follow him and see. I still hate Twitter even though I use it, but what the hell it’s free and I like free. Follow me on Twitter and be a sucker like me. It’s 8:44 pm and it’s time to watch a movie, night kiddies…

Took 1/2 a day off and took the family to New Brighton Park. The kids played on the swings while I snapped photos of stuff I saw. Some times you just need to say “f*ck it”, and play hooky. I’m the boss so it doesn’t really matter too much. Funny thing is that I always feel guilty when I play hooky, so lame..
