Kendra Wilkinson, Holly Madison & Mike The Situation in Las Vegas

Yesterday we went down to the strip to check out the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood. My wife got wind that that “The Girls Next Door” (Kendra Wilkinson & Holly Madison), and Mike “The Situation” from New Jersey Shore were going to be there for the opening of the Sugar Factory. I have to admit I do watch both shows, to veg out in front of the tv lol. Besides it’s fun to take pics of something besides desert landscapes and myself, lol.

I ranted about New Jersey shore a few weeks back telling people it is just a show, meaning it’s not 100% real. All those douchebags making fun of guidos, don’t get that that “The Situation” is a reality actor. He got paid to show up to this event as well, he makes money from being a “guido”. He is laughing all the way to the bank, just like Kendra Wilkinson & Holly Madison.

It was pretty fun snapping photos of the Playboy Playmates, I felt like a paparazzi, lol. Maybe I should switch careers and start stalking celebrities,NOT. I’m sure I’ll get some traffic to my website with this post and these pictures. Maybe I will sneak in a few Google ads (already did…).

Enjoy the photos from my paparazzi efforts, it was my first attempt

Happy Valentines Day  from my wife who made the cake!

I’m Back In Vegas Baby!

I’m back baby, and the weather is nice and warm 17-19°C. It feels great to get away from rain in Vancouver. I am watching my city on TV though, pretty cool. The Olympics ceremony starts tonight, I will be watching! I’m heading out to the park this morning, it’s just too nice to work, besides this is a vacation, kinda, sort of. I’ll work later on tonight, when the sun goes down. I’m a workaholic but sometimes you need to enjoy yourself. Why make money if you can’t enjoy it right?

One thing Las Vegas is, is cheeezy! We checked out the shops at the Planet Hollywood hotel, I tried on a bunch different glasses, why? Because I could, and who wants to buy glasses with the middle finger in them? Maybe you do , but not me!

Nothing like being a proud American, but I’m a Canuck so no go on these winning glasses… Cheeeeze! These only serve one purpose, a Bruce Springsteen concert!

When you get drunk you have “beer goggles”. I never checked the price tage but I’m betting at least $10 for these puppies. Perfect for stags and hockey games!

more formage from Vegas! Good for Halloween I think, more crap. There were way more glasses to try on, but I was escorted out of the store, for not buying anything…

This gift basket was 1 month late waiting on my doorstep in Vegas when I arrived, luckily no one stole it and there wasn’t fruit in there. The gift basket was all chocolate and it was sitting there for over 2 weeks, lol! Someone dropped the ball on this one!!! I’m surprised no one stole the basket after sitting there for2 weeks, haha. At least it’s early for Valentines day right?

The 2010 Olympics Are Almost Here & I’m Almost Gone

As Vancouver gets ready for the Olympics to start, we are getting ready to get the f*ck out of here and spend 3 weeks down south in Las Vegas. From February 10 to March 5, I will be a “snowbird”, once again. I will be watching my home town (Vancouver), from an American perspective, it should be interesting. I hear the Terminator will be carrying the Olympic torch through Stanley park in the next day or so, can’t wait to see that. Right now the Olympic torch is in Surrey and will arrive in the city of Vancouver, three days from now. Tomorrow the torch will be in New West, then through Richmond, then through UBC and finally downtown Vancouver on February 12, 2010 for the opening ceremony.

It’s the “Pink Gangster”, sporting the velvet Puma track suit, before we go for drive downtown…

It’s a beautiful city, that is for sure (especially when it’s NOT raining…). Going down Oak Steet bridge from Broadway

Caught on Burrard & Georgia, this thing is HUGE. Awesome!!

There are hundreds of Olympic vehicles all over the place. It looks like General Motors is the official car manufacturer for the 2010 Olympics.

We sat in the Escalade and had our caffe lattes, while watching Canadian Pacific freight trains roll by on a Sunday afternoon.

A shot of the wheat pool on the Burrard inlet, just off of Powell Street in downtown Vancouver

Crazy Asian guy dancing on Lougheed Highway

The return of the crazy Asian guy dancing on Lougheed Highway in Burnaby. I was waiting for my wife at VanCity on Lougheed in Burnaby and my son was sleeping in the back so I went for a quick drive so he stays sleeping ( he wakes up if we sit still in the SUV too long..)

And there he was like clock work on Lougheed Highway near the Cactus Club/Tim Hortons, the wild dancing Asian man. Not bad actually, he gets paid to clown around, what could be better than that? Cheers to you dancing Asian guy, you make my day every time I see you!! Awesome.

4:00 AM Time To Wake Up

It’s 4:00ish am, and I woke up and can’t get back to sleep. I did a bit of work and now I am blogging. I have had this domain name for 10 years now, it started out for my web design business that no longer exists, and now it’s my digital scrap book. I’ve been blogging on this site since February 2008 (2 years already), and pretty much anything that has happened to me is written on my blog. I  have had blogs even before they were called blogs, back then they called it a “personal web site”.

The web is a crazy place, 20 years from now when I’m 60 years old will my YouTube videos still be up? Old pictures of my graffiti I did when I was younger? The Internet never forgets, even if you do.  One thing I have thought about is that anything you put online may be there to haunt you many, many years from now.  I definitely don’t have anything to hide, but it’s funny to think that even my kids can access everything about me when they can read and surf the web.  They can see what I was thinking on February 12, 2008, pretty cool and scary. Just something to ponder I guess… NUFF SAID.

Onto other super important things, tonight is “date night”. Every Wednesday for the past month we do our own thing. We drop off the kids at my parents place and do something just the two of us. Tonight we are going to check out a move, either The Blind Side or When in Rome. Chick flicks cause the lady loves romantic comedies.

**************************************************************************************

Onto other things…

Probably the easiest way for us to get the kids to sleep is to drive around in the SUV. They usually konk out in about 10-20 minutes of driving. Basically my truck in one big baby stroller with pimped out rims.  I probably know more driving routes in Vancouver than a cabbie, ugh.

As most times that I am in my truck I had my SD750 and I shot some interesting photos in the rain (below). I am no where near evening being called an amateur photographer but whatever, it’s fun to take photos of random BS, and it doesn’t cost me a penny (that’s the best part…).

taken through driver side window on a rainy Monday night…

Yesterday I had to take a trip out to Delta because my tenant had no power in her up and downstairs living room, as well as the downstairs bathroom.  It seem like a wire broke or a mice got into the wall and chewed up one of the wires, resulting in the problem I just explained. Luckily my handyman Michael temporarily fixed it until he can come back and do a permanent repair job which should take about one hour.

Anyhoo I brought my camera along (like I always do…) to entertain myself and I snapped a few photos while driving over the Alex Fraser bridge….

this post was about as random and as all over the place as possible, whatever.

Back to work.
