Oh No You Didn’t!

Yesterday I took my wife out to get her Christmas gift(s), down to the Las Vegas Premium Outlet Center. If you’re lookng for brand name stuff for super cheap prices then this is the place to go. We did all of our Christmas shopping, so when we get back to Vancouver we won’t have to hit MetroTown Mall, thank god! Some of the pics might be a little “risky”, but I cropped out most of the naughty stuff.

And then last night we went out to an amazing all you can eat buffet at Rio Hotel, it had everything from Italian, Chinese, Mexican and everything in between. The deserts are wicked as well. Amazing food, it’s the best buffet I have even been to.

New top and new jeans from our last visit at the outlet store.

coming back from the Outlet center, amazing scenery (we live next to these mountains).

Happy Friday From Las Vegas

It’s early 6am on Friday Dec 4th and the rest of the family is still sleeping so I can squeeze in a quick blog post before I do a bit of work then we go for our walk, and then back to work again. The temperature is dropping a bit, but nothing like Canada however you can feel a  pinch of coldness in the morning air now.

Lone Mountain is 4 blocks away from us, and it has a trail so we tried to use it however the baby stroller  got stuck in the sand and rocks so we had to turn back, ugh… Pretty cool desert scenery though, it reminds of all those western shows such as Bonanza…

there they are…

I actually haven’t seen too many cactus plants in Vegas, you would think they would be all over but there are very few. The landscape they plant in Las Vegas is mostly palm trees, so you can’t find many cactus plants in this desert. This was taken at Lone Mountain

I got my Def Jam shirt finally, when we went back to the Las Vegas Premium outlet stores and the Adidas store  had my size in stock! I hate Ed Hardy stuff, BIG TIME, it looks like hell to me but this shirt even thought it’s a little busy looked pretty good (but what do I know..).

On the way to the strip there was traffic backed up and I thought it was just rush hour, but it was because of this…

Outside of The Venetian Hotel, or is this Venice?

The original Las Vegas hotel, the Flamingo was started by the mob in particular Bugsy Seigel (jewish gangster) and his buddies Lucky Luciano and others. This city that was built by the mob…

The Venetian & New York, New York Hotel in Vegas

I have been a tour guide the last week, while my parents have come down for a visit. We checked out a bunch of the casino hotels and for this post we visited The Venetian, as well as New York, New York. The go balls out in these hotels because they want you to come and visit them, so they do super elaborate things that will blow you away.

seriously, this is funny as hell. I have nothing against anyone I just thought this was funny.

This is inside the Venetian hotel, they have their own water ways in the hotel, and also outside of it. It’s truly insane..

This is a town square inside The Venetian hotel, it looks like it’s daytime even thought it was 8:00 pm… Unreal..

Merry Christmas

the gondolas coming down the canal. The lineup to get on a gondola was easily over 1.5 hours.

This is inside New York, New York Hotel, it looks like they pulled it brick from brick from lower Manhattan and brought it out here to the desert. Balls out!

This is inside a hotel, complete with Sirrico’s Italian pizza place and GreenBurg’s Jewish deli, just like NYC. Which way to Brooklyn? Fugedaboutit!

Yes this is in a hotel..

Us rolling back to North Las Vegas from the strip, how peaceful, awwwwwwww.

Our Las Vegas Chateau Versailles 3 BedRoom Condo

Some friends and family wanted to see video of our place here in Las Vegas, so I did a quick video of the place room to room. This is what you can get for $100,00 US, in a foreclosure market and this is the more expensive condos on the market, amazing deals here in Vegas.

Anyways the video is below, I need to get on the exercise bike at the gym to burn ff some of the Doritos I ate last night, ugh!

Caesars Palace Forum Shops In Las Vegas

Living in Sin City enables me to take lots of photographs since there are tons of things that are new to me. I am basically a tourist in my own city.  Yesterday we took the old folks (my parents are visiting for 1 week) to check out Caesars Palace  Forum Shops, which looks like something that was stolen right out of Roman times. It’s really an amazing place to walk around and see the architecture, very slick stuff.

[ad#ad-1]

Besides all the Roman architecture, the place is basically one big shopping mall, the look and feel are designed to get you to visit it and then spend money in the Caesar shops (didn’t work on me). They have everything you can think of from Hugo Boss, Victoria Secret and even Apple computer there.

Tomorrow night we’re going to check out The Venetian.
