It’s hard for me to accept when things change (for the worse). I like to be able to know what to expect, and I like to be able to control my life so I can be happy with the results. First off I need to say that I am very grateful for everything in my life. I really shouldn’t be angry or depressed about my life, in reality I truly have a dream life. The problem is that humans are never satisfied and I find myself to be a goal oriented person so if I am not meeting my personal expectations then I get all pissy.

Being so hard on myself has allowed me to achieve huge financial success that I could have never dreamed of. The bad part is I am always hard on myself. I find it hard for me to relax and not worry about making that $1,000 day goal etc. Most people would think having so much success that you can just sit on your ass and smile the good life, but in reality you just end up wanting more (who doesn’t right?). Is that good? It’s good to have goals without them you are lost in the wind. I realized that putting so much stress on myself, makes all the success not fun to enjoy. It kinda sucks, if you can’t be happy with your success…… It’s not like I moap around all day, every day, but it’s just when certain things aren’t going my way I get a bit moody.

What do I want?

I am not a person who gives up, I always find that light at the end of the tunnel. I don’t accept quitting, it’s not something I do. I keep digging and digging until I find something that works. For me I want something stable. I want to promote something that will let rest easy so I know it will be around tomorrow.

I have been at affiliate marketing for a long time now. I have seen many traffic sources get harder to promote though and I have always found a way back in, or find other places to advertise. I am like a little mouse, that finds that small crack in the wall and even if it’s cold outside, I sneak in and find the warmth.

My goals outlined:

I want stable affiliate marketing income producing over $1500 profit every day for a very, very long time.
I will work the same amount of hours, not more than that (9-5 max).
I want to be happy with my results as I should be already.
I want the ability to control my emotions more.
I will continue to expand the niches where I am already having success

I have been finding it difficult to focus lately and writing down my goals always helps me focus on what I want. Actually without this blog and me posting about my goals I’m sure my income wouldn’t be near the level it is now. I make little money from my actual blog however the blogging helps me focus on what I want and that has helped profit immensly. I never actually thought about that before, but in a way I make huge money from my blog because of what my writing down my goals has helped me achieve.

** Remember what you focus on expands, so focus and think about what you want and it will come to you. Keep your thoughts clear and precise. Know what you want in want in life right down to every last detail and you will receive it. The law of attraction is always at work, like it or not.

Free PHP Url Rotator Script

I was searching for a free PHP url rotator this morning, and found the perfect php script . Note: this post is for people who do affiliate marketing others will fall asleep in reading the next paragraph. Ok, If you want to split test different affiliate offers, this is the easiest way to test more than one offer to see which one performs better. I def don’t split test enough, I get lazy and complacent but I am going to be changing that with the use of this script. This is nothing new but now I have a script ready to go anytime I want it.

All you need to do is create an index.php file with just the php url rotator script below. You can easily create this in notepad and simply save it as index.php – then simply upload to the domain or folder where your ad is pointing. (The example below shows a split test of 3 links, but you can add/remove them as needed).

I wanted something super simple and easy for me to update and this is it:

Do The Opposite Of The Crowd

As with life change is part of it, the affiliate marketing industry is no different unfortunately. Personally I want to get into niches that are STABLE, so I can increase traffic to my niches and build from there. Some of the niches I am going to do include auto insurance and dating.

I have some ideas on how to promote auto insurance and everyone wants cheaper car insurance so I think the possibilities can be pretty much endless. I always try to think outside of the box, it’s the only way to get into many of the niches that are saturated with competition. There is always a way to get into any niche, you just have to be creative and NOT doing what everyone else is doing.

It’s pretty easy to follow everyone else, it requires little thinking, it’s comfortable and it is less stressful .Here is the problem, you will never live up to your full potential if you never let yourself take chances. Being stuck at the same shitty job, might feel comfortable but every minute of it sucks I know all about it!

Ever since I pushed myself to take chances I have grown as a person. Being complacent comes naturally to most of us, taking chances and getting out of our shell and thinking outside of the “box” is hard. The funny thing is this once you started taking calculated “risks”, it’s like a rush you want to do it again and again.

Here is an example:

Real estate - I love real estate because it is passive income. Vancouver’s real estate went up at least 17% in 2009, when were in a “recession”. Was it really a recession? Umm no. Nothing can go up year after fucking year, can it? Las Vegas is in a recession, Vancouver is not. While the prices dropped in late 2008 I scooped up 3 condos in Vancouver, totalling just over $600,000 in total. A 17% increase on $600,000 is $51,000. I increased my real estate portfolio value by $51,000 just on those 3 condos!!!! If I listened to the news about the bullshit recession I would have scared myself shitless and not bought like most people. Think outside the box! In total my real estate portfolio is up around $250,000-$300,00o (I’m too lazy to do the exact math), just from last year!!

Do yourself a favor, do your own thing. Don’t worry about everyone else, you are not them. You are your own person so think for yourself. Most people are sheep, it’s easy and stress free. If everyone is doing it can’t be wrong, right? LOL wrong. If everyone is doing it , then it’s probably wrong!! Don’t let someone else do the thinking for you! I did that for the first 30 years of my life, and I got stuck at a shitty job as a result of not taking control and responsibility for my own life, never again! Being scared and complacent is the mistake everyone makes, and they suffer because of it, unfulfilled and unhappy.

This goes back to my first point, think outside of the box. In my business (marketing), it’s all about being creative and thinking outside of the box! This week I’m not working too hard since my parents are here in Vegas visiting me, but I am returning to Vancouver on Friday and then it’s on! I just reminded myself I need to write down my goals as well, so I can see what type of goals I want to achieve this year. Maybe that will be my next post…

It’s The Desert, Not Vancouver!

I been back in Vegas for 2 weeks now, and we drive around to various areas to explore and learn about different parts of Las Vegas. In Vancouver you just don’t see the type of houses and desert landscape that is found down here, it is a desert so the house styles and landscape vary greatly. Here most plants are picked depending on their water consumption. You pay for water here unlike Vancouver where you can keep the tap running forever and no one blinks. Water conservation is a normal part of life here, which is fine by me. I have learned to keep the water off, when I’m brushing my teeth and other little tips. They conserve water here, but they don’t recycle at all (in my complex anyways…). It bugs me that recycling isn’t done here, since the USA is the biggest consumer and polluter in the world.

This is what happens if you can’t pay your loans. This million dollar house is now foreclosed and bank owned, and it’s half done! Right across the street you have the pimping house below. I can’t imagine waking up to this eyesore until the market turns around, could be years and years!

I found these foreclosure notices posted on at least 6 doors in my complex, that means another 6 foreclosures from my complex alone. Las Vegas is in such a huge mess it’s unreal! Good for people who want the bargain of a lifetime though, but damn…

Las Vegas is the foreclosure capital of all the USA, this is the center of all the damage from the U.S. recesson. Obama was here just last week and pointed that out.

$25 Lollipops & Other Junk

I’m actually trying to post a little less. I don’t want to post anymore than every 3rd day. Honestly I feel that my blog is a waste of my time. It is fun to do but I don’t want to spend hours every day working on something that doesn’t offer $$$$. It’s a fun hobby but I have to keep to a certain level, every 3 rd day is more than enough I would think. I just accumulate my photos and stuff for 3 days and post them all at once.

I have been having a tough time focusing on my business, not very motivated at all. Once again, my earnings have dropped lol. See, it’s not that easy to work online, things change super fast on the web. One day you are making $5,000 and the next you are down to $500! It can be an emotional roller coaster ride to say the least.

In reality I can’t complain, I can retire right now if I wanted to but I really don’t. I have been working to get my profit back up, and I am having some success but not to the amount I have been accustomed to. If you had to get into affiliate marketing it’s much tougher now than it was when I first started.

But where there is a will there is a way. I like to feel sorry for myself for a bit then I bounce back. Right now the “feeling sorry for myself” process is almost finished and I starting to work a bit more to get things back up. Affiliate marketing takes a ton out of you. It is not a get rich quick deal, it’s super tough. Honestly sometimes I don’t even know how I did it at all. Motivation is the key to success, without it failure is probable.

Time to get back to work, personal blogs make very little $$$.

Ok, here is the deal with these lollipops, they cost $25 each! These are basically celebrity endorsed by “stars” such as Holly Madison, Kendra Wilkinson, Mike The Situation Sorrentino and all the rest of the “stars” with their photos on the Sugar Factory walls (see below). Then dumb teenage girls spend $25.00 to look trendy, douchebagettes!

These are twist on lollipops, you can buy replace tops for $5 each. The bling bling stick is reusable, and it comes in a plastic case, LOL. If I ever buy on of these then you will know I have become a FULL douchebag!

Endorsed by Carmen Electra, Brittney Spears, The Kardashians, Spice Girls, Denise Richards and all the rest of the “stars” that got paid to lick the lollipop…. Consumerism at it’s worst! $25 lollipops, yeah!

The Treasure Island Free Outdoor Pirate Show

Two nights ago we checked out Treasure Island, which is on the Las Vegas strip with the rest of the big hotels. Treasure Island is based around the pirate theme, and every night they have free outdoor shows in front of their hotel that include pirate ships, female and male pirates as well as slick explosions. It’s a free show and pretty cool, if you’re ever in Las Vegas check it out. The show is very elaborate especially for a free production.

Of course I snapped photos of it and here they are:

There were 2 pirate ships that got into a battle (men vs women), they fired back and forth until the men’s ship sank.

This amazing chopper built by Metropolitan Choppers and the metal work was done by an artist named Scott Cawood. This piece of moving art was inside the Treasure Island casino , made of scrap metal it took over 6 months to build it. The detail in this bike is insane…

Yesterday we went down to the strip to check out the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood. My wife got wind that that “The Girls Next Door” (Kendra Wilkinson & Holly Madison), and Mike “The Situation” from New Jersey Shore were going to be there for the opening of the Sugar Factory. I have to admit I do watch both shows, to veg out in front of the tv lol. Besides it’s fun to take pics of something besides desert landscapes and myself, lol.

I ranted about New Jersey shore a few weeks back telling people it is just a show, meaning it’s not 100% real. All those douchebags making fun of guidos, don’t get that that “The Situation” is a reality actor. He got paid to show up to this event as well, he makes money from being a “guido”. He is laughing all the way to the bank, just like Kendra Wilkinson & Holly Madison.

It was pretty fun snapping photos of the Playboy Playmates, I felt like a paparazzi, lol. Maybe I should switch careers and start stalking celebrities,NOT. I’m sure I’ll get some traffic to my website with this post and these pictures. Maybe I will sneak in a few Google ads (already did…).

I’m Back In Vegas Baby!

I’m back baby, and the weather is nice and warm 17-19°C. It feels great to get away from rain in Vancouver. I am watching my city on TV though, pretty cool. The Olympics ceremony starts tonight, I will be watching! I’m heading out to the park this morning, it’s just too nice to work, besides this is a vacation, kinda, sort of. I’ll work later on tonight, when the sun goes down. I’m a workaholic but sometimes you need to enjoy yourself. Why make money if you can’t enjoy it right?

One thing Las Vegas is, is cheeezy! We checked out the shops at the Planet Hollywood hotel, I tried on a bunch different glasses, why? Because I could, and who wants to buy glasses with the middle finger in them? Maybe you do , but not me!

Nothing like being a proud American, but I’m a Canuck so no go on these winning glasses… Cheeeeze! These only serve one purpose, a Bruce Springsteen concert!

When you get drunk you have “beer goggles”. I never checked the price tage but I’m betting at least $10 for these puppies. Perfect for stags and hockey games!

This gift basket was 1 month late waiting on my doorstep in Vegas when I arrived, luckily no one stole it and there wasn’t fruit in there. The gift basket was all chocolate and it was sitting there for over 2 weeks, lol! Someone dropped the ball on this one!!! I’m surprised no one stole the basket after sitting there for2 weeks, haha. At least it’s early for Valentines day right?
