New Years Resolutions For 2010

Who am I kidding? It’s the first day of the year, and I won’t getting much work done if any. I think it’s a good time to move forward and write down my goals for  2010.This is more like reminders than resolutions.

  1. More exercise - I just purchased an exercise bike from Zellers, on sale from $249 to $149.00. I used it about  1 1/2 hours ago  and it’s awesome. I got used to using an exercise bike while were down in Las Vegas for the last month and a half, so I had to pick one up here.
  2. More real estate - I love real estate, it’s stable and you can always come out ahead with a  little bit of research and common sense. I plan on buying more condos this year and investment properties.
  3. More income - Last year was my best year ever, even though I haven”t added up my income for the year it was very good.  This year I will make even more money because my experience in online marketing has gotten that much better. I learned lots in 2009 and I can carry those skills forward in 2010. No pain, no gain. I had to reinvent myself a few times mainly due to Google tightening the screws on all affiliates. I gave up on them and moved to greener and much more profitable pastures. Goodbye Google, I don’t even miss you at all.
  4. More diversification – I plan to continue to diversify my income streams online so I am prepared if things sideline my business ventures. Having your all your eggs in one basket is bad business.
  5. More rest & relaxation – I bought the condo in Vegas as part of my R&R, and I plan on using it 3 -4months out of the year.  The weather in Vancouver is rain (surprise), so haven’t that sunny destination to go to anytime I like is an awesome feeling.

I haven’t got detailed about my goals, because I need to think about them a little bit to see exactly what I want to achieve.

Anyways Happy New Years to all! Remember write down your goals and hold yourself accountable! Don ‘t take it lightly. Writing down my goals has helped me achieve success.  Just read through my other goal oriented blog posts in the last year and you will see what I mean ( they all came true…).

Onward and upward!

A Recap Of My Life In 2009

Today is December 23 and it’s our last night sleeping in our condo, we arrived here on November 11 and the time has come to depart and go back to our Canadian home. I am a big goal setter and since it’s almost 2010 and Christmas is right around the corner, and I think it’s a great time for me to reflect on the past year.

  1. Being that I am blogging from my a condo I own in Las Vegas, Nevada  is a huge accomplishment for me personally. In late April I posted about wanting to buy a place down here, it took me some months to get off my ass and come down here and do it but I did it! I am soo glad that I took the plunge, I love it here. It barely ever rains unlike Vancouver! This is something that I can enjoy with my family and friends as long as I am alive, very happy about that.
  2. Reaching my $7,000 day goal!. Even though my earnings have slid since then because of reasons beyond my control, I did it! I know that 2010 will be even better financially for me because of my ability to adapt and deversify. I haven’t added up all my income for 2009 but it should be close $850,000  net. Obviously I am very grateful for that, and I expect continued success within the new year.
  3. I have a great wife, who understands me, even though I can be a nut job sometimes. Her easy going atittitude and belief in me makes me stronger and confident in my decisions.
  4. My kids are the best thing ever. It’s weird being a father and having little people look up to you, and expect you to take care of them in every way necessary. They are cute little rug rats that have made my life 100% complete. Without my kids there would be something big missing inside of me.
  5. The drive and determination I have even surprises me. I don’t know where all my energy comes from, but without my high energy level, I definitely wouldn’t be where I am. I have a drive that keeps me pushing forward, and NEVER looking back.

Overall my life is 10 times better than I imagined it. It’s a dream come true.  I wanted to retire by 40 years old and I said that when I was in my late 20’s, still working as  a cabinet maker and only making $17.27 per hour. It’s still hard for me to sit here and be able to write that I can actually retire by 40, and I made it all happen by myself.

I’m not sure what else to say, life is good and I am thankful for every day. 2010 will be better in every way possible. I will be writing a goal post sometime soon, but I needed to post about what I was thankful for having and happening in 2009.

Thanks For The Garmin GPS Device Guys

I just want to thank the affiliate managers over at Various for sending me the sweet GPS, it is the best Christmas gift I could have asked for, since I have been printing out directions to get around Las Vegas the last 3 weeks.  I have gotten lost enough times to realize I need help finding my way around this town, the Garmin GPS  device rocks! It tells me exactly where to go, where to turn and how far I still have until I reach my destination.

They were going to send me a Kindle for my Christmas gift, but I don’t read books. I read everything online and when  am away from the computer the last thing I want to do is read from another screen. They asked what I wanted besides a Kindle and my wife said why not ask for a GPS device so we can use it around Las Vegas, so we won’t get lost anymore. Two days later a brown cardboard box arrived and boom, there it is.

We used it tonight to get to and from the movie theater (we watched New Moon) and damn do I love the GPS. I never have to print directions again, ever.Type in your location and your destination on the touch screen and it does the rest for you. It actually talks to you and tells you where to turn etc, pretty cool gadget.

That’s a nice time saver for me! Giddy Up!! It’s always nice to be appreciated for the work and traffic I send your way, thanks again.

$7,000 Per Day – Did I Reach It?

In Spetember I wrote about my goal to reach $7,000 profit per day by day. The BIG QUESTION, did I reach 7k per day? I was a little worried that I wouldn’t reach my goal and in one way I didn’t.  I reach roughly $7,500 gross per day about 3 days ago, and it been holding around that daily now. Profit wise that is about $5,000 to $5,5500 profit per day. I didn’t reach the $7,000 profit goal (it’s gross) however this is more than fine by me.  I’m only  $1,500 away from my goal so I would have to say that this is a success, even though I didn’t get my 7k profit per day goal reached. I still have shot up way up on profit from when I originally posted the 7k  day goal, in September!

I need to state this did just not fall in my lap, I busted my ass finding new places to advertise to make this possible. It is far from easy to do this, even though I may make it look easy. I have never worked as hard i n my life as I have the last 10 years in web design/ affiliate marketing.

Does the law of attraction work? I think it does it has helped me reach my goals time and time and time again. Just read my goal posts for the last year it’s really incredible. From buying condos in Vancouver to daily income goals, to buying my condo in Las Vegas (where I’m blogging from), it has all come true.

Personally I believe you can do anything you want, I am living proof of that. Back when I was a carpenter/cabinet maker if you told me I would be where I am right now, it wouldn’t have been hard for me to envision it. And I still remember saying that I wanted to retire by 40 when I was still making cabinets for $17.27 per hour, now it can actually happen. I’m 40 next year, so retirement can easily happen for me. It’s unreal how all my goals have been reached….

Tips on reaching your goals:

  • be focused
  • be realistic (don’t try to make 10 million per day by next month if you’re making $150 a day right now…)
  • don’t expect it to fall in your lap (you need to make this happen, it’s YOUR life….)
  • work hard (if you are lazy and don’t put the time in, then don’t expect to get anywhere…  NO EXCUSES)
  • know what you really want in life
  • be honest and don’t BS yourself (if your goals are too high, you lie only to yourself….)
  • work ethic (how bad do you want?)

If you really want to achieve your goals it needs to be on your mind all the f’n time! Want to loose 50 lbs, then don’t you dare eat that burger! Go to the gym every f’n day no matter what!!! Can you handle that? Working, when you don’t want to, just to reach your goal, I DO.

Who else would go to Las Vegas for a month and still wake up at 6 am  and work until 4 pm , Monday to Friday daily?!? I do… I hate not being honest with myself, it really bugs me so I HAVE TO get what I want, and I do WHATEVER it takes to make it happen. Is that you?

I work first then have fun later, I always have and I always will. PERIOD.  I have no clue why I’m this way, but I hated being shitty at anything I did in my life.

Do it 100% or  don’t even bother!!

Enough said. Time to get back to work, then I pick up my friend from the airport.

A few photos for you before I get back to work….

Tech Support That Can’t Support Shit

I woke up pretty early 6:am since my daughter knows my early wake up schedule and beats me to the punch, I have been bringing her along in the stroller for my morning walks. I knew today was going to be a useless work day since one of my media ad buys is all f*cked up. I was making a ton of cash off of it, then the ad server database screwed up or something and my ads basically stopped running. I went from $1000s per day to a few hundred as of right now. It will get fixed I guess one way or another but damn. Anyways no point dwelling on it , since I can’t change and it wasn’t my fault at all.

Oh also a note to all you online ad agencies and anyone who needs to be able to be reached, list a f*cking phone number on your site! And…. Make sure your emails work, when they start bouncing back as invalid address or whatever I start to lose it! I want to spend $20,000 per month with you and I can’t even reach you? Not smart jackass!! I’m on limbo partly today because of this, I cannot buy more ad space and this means lower profits until this fiasco is resolved. Thank God for simple morning walks, nothing can go wrong I walk and that’s it. If I fall I get back up.

Computers are heaven and hell!

Luckily next week I will be chilling in the heat of Las Vegas Nevada. Oh the joy I feel of having something relaxing to look forward. I will be working of course but in a drier, warmer place.  And instead of nightly drives to Tim Horton’s drive thru, I can cruise down Las Vegas boulevard (The Strip). It will be nice…….

Now some random pics of random stuff, because I am very random guy.
